Dashavatar — Varaha (Character Design)

This artwork presents the character design exploration for Varaha, a pivotal character from the Marathi feature film Dashavatar, portrayed by the legendary actor Dilip Prabhavalkar.

The objective was to design a character that could visually carry the actor’s powerful screen presence, while remaining rooted in the narrative and thematic tone of the film. The process involved exploring silhouette, facial structure, costume language, and texture to reflect Varaha’s psychological depth and dramatic intensity.

Multiple iterations were developed to balance performance-driven realism with cinematic exaggeration, ensuring the design supported both character storytelling and on-screen impact.
